Returns
We have a 5-day return policy, which means you have 5 days after receiving or purchasing your item to request a return.
Eligible returns will be issued as store credit in the form of a Forbidden Library gift card. Refunds to the original payment method are not provided for change-of-mind returns.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it: unworn, unused, with tags (if applicable), and in its original packaging. Books and other merchandise must be in new, saleable condition. You’ll also need your receipt or proof of purchase.

Damages, Defects & Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order when you receive it. If your book or item arrives damaged or defective, or you receive the wrong item, please contact us as soon as possible so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
For shipped orders, if an item arrives damaged or defective, or we sent you the wrong item, we will issue a refund to your original payment method once the issue has been reviewed and approved. If we require the item to be returned, Forbidden Library will cover the return shipping costs.
Exceptions & Final Sale Items
We cannot accept returns on:
- Sale or clearance items
- Gift cards
- Special-order items
- Personalized or custom products
- Consumable goods
- Items that are no longer in new, saleable condition
Please contact us if you are unsure whether your item is eligible for return.
Exchanges
We do not process direct exchanges. If you would like a different item, you can return your eligible purchase within the 5-day return period and receive store credit. You can then use your store credit toward your new purchase.
Store Credit
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will let you know whether it has been approved.
Approved change-of-mind returns will be issued as a Forbidden Library gift card/store credit for the value of the eligible returned merchandise.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable, and customers are responsible for return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns.
Store credit does not expire and can be used toward a future purchase at Forbidden Library.
